I have been trying to find a recipe for a coconut cream ice [not ice cream] that the street vendors in the South Bronx sell.

I know it as Coquito but when I find a recipe it's usually for a drink or coconut balls. blink.gif

I tried contacting Goya and Coco Lopez. They all know what I'm talking about but don't know the recipe.

Can anyone help? Thanks

I hope someone else can help you with this one, Fran Marie. I have no idea as I've never eaten it.

Now you have piqued my curiosity and I'll see if I can find anything like it in my collection of cookbooks

I'm curios too. Fran if it isn't ice cream could you try to explain what coconut cream ice is? huh.gif Is it more like a snow cone with a coconut favor?
